Wipe the slate clean. Reduce visible signs of premature aging. This treatment allows patients to transform red, uneven, sun damaged or aging skin into an even-toned complexion. During the procedure, pulses of light are applied to the skin. Depending on the target, the service emits light waves that are adjusted and target hemoglobin, (the red blood cells in the blood vessels) or the melanin. (the brown pigment in sun damage) The light waves pass through the skin and are absorbed by either the hemoglobin or the melanin resulting in a collapse of the vessel wall or fragmenting of melanin. As a result, the melanin pigment and tiny blood vessels are absorbed by the patient’s body, creating a more even-toned appearance in the skin.

IPL or BBL photofacial produces minimal discomfort.

Skin Tyte works by depositing infrared heat deep into the dermis, which is where our collagen and elastin fibers are found.   The immediate response to the infrared heat exposure is a contraction of the collagen and elastin fibers. Longer term, fibroblasts (cells that make collagen) are activated which stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin in response to wound-healing which continues to take place for up to 6 months after the initial heating.  This tissue remodeling results in a thickening of the dermis and shrinking of elastin fibers plus the contraction of collagen, resulting in the improvement of the skin’s firmness.

Skin Tyte treatment is safe for all skin types and can be performed on any area of the body where an improvement in your skin firmness is desired. Popular areas include the face, neck, hands, abdomen and chest.  Most individuals require 3-6 sessions with each session spaced at an interval of 2-4 weeks.

Broad Band Light (BBL™) has now proven to be helpful in the treatment of acne. In many cases, this offers an alternative to oral medications such as Accutane or long-term antibiotics. The shorter wavelengths of BBL™, in the blue-light spectrum, attack P. acnes bacteria on the surface and in the sebaceous gland. Along with a home skin care program designed for acne-prone skin, you can experience significant long-term clearance.

The bacteria responsible for acne, P. acnes, can be killed by either a light treatment with blue light or deeper bacteria can also be treated by lasers which can travel deeper into the pores. The treatment is simple, quick, pain-free, and requires no down-time. It is appropriate for mild to moderate acne. Our BBL is especially effective in women who experience localized acne on their chin with their hormonal cycle, adult hormonal acne for men and women, as well as teenage acne.
